Red Sox announce spring training slate
Boston Red Sox spring training tickets will go on sale Saturday, Dec. 6.

Fans can purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m. that day at the City of Palms Park box office in Fort Myers, online at or by phone at 1-877-REDSOX-9. Handicapped accessible seating will be available at 1-877-REDSOX-9.

Ticket prices range from $10 for standing-room, $15 for bleachers, $26 for box seats to $46 for home plate box seats.

On Tuesday, the Red Sox released their 37-game spring schedule, which opens Feb. 25 with a split-squad exhibition against Boston College at 1:05 p.m. at City of Palms Park and a split-squad road game against the Minnesota Twins at 7:05 that night.

The game against the Twins is the first of five meetings in the Mayor's Cup. The Red Sox will host two of those games - March 17 (St. Patrick's Day) and March 28. The Red Sox are scheduled to visit Hammond Stadium on Feb. 25, March 1 and April 2.

The Red Sox play four games against the Tampa Bay Rays in a rematch of last season's American League championship series. The Rays will train this season at the Charlotte Sports Park in Charlotte County.

Boston hosts the rival New York Yankees at 7:05 p.m. on March 13, with a return date in Tampa on March 24.

Also on the schedule is an exhibition against the World Baseball Classic team from Puerto Rico on March 5.

Before the exhibition slate begins, the Red Sox will hold workouts at the nearby player development complex, 4301 Edison Ave.

Workouts are open to the public, with a shuttle bus taking fans to the site from City of Palms Park for $2 per person.

Tickets for exhibitions against Boston College (Feb. 25) and Northeastern (Feb. 28) will be half-price.

The City of Palms Park box office will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 6, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 7.

Beginning Dec. 8, the box office will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Red Sox, who have trained in Fort Myers since 1993, have sold out 73 consecutive Grapefruit League games.
